Residents Medical Offers ACGME Core Competencies Training

RM Logo square OFFICIALResidents Medical provides guidance and education to medical students and graduates, preparing them for placement into a United States residency program. Residents Medical offers a comprehensive suite of services that address nearly every aspect of the residency application process, including training in the core competencies of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

The core competencies consist of six desirable physician attributes that serve as the educational standards for all accredited medical training programs. ACGME accreditation acts as an indicator of a program’s commitment to facilitating quality education for residents and providing safe care for patients. ACGME’s core competencies are patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, and systems-based practice.

Residents Medical’s ACGME Core Competencies training curriculum focuses on helping students improve their patient and communication skills, while also allowing them to develop their clinical, biomedical, and epidemiological knowledge. In addition, the course includes lessons designed to assist with the development of Step 2 Clinical Skills.
